Assyrians Without Borders focuses on strengthening civilians’ basic human rights through sustainable development for and in the Assyrian countries of origin (Turkey, Iraq and Lebanon). This is done by meeting various needs of the target group. We carry out both long-term projects – focusing on the right to a good education, rural development, equality and health – as well as emergency response to disasters like the refugee crisis.
There are currently sanctions against Iran and Syria. Therefore we have no projects in these countries, but will resume our activites if the sanctions are lifted.
We aim to:
- Strengthen the target group’s rights and
- Meet the needs of the target group in a sustainable, long-term way
- Assist Assyrians in need with emergency response
- Help young Assyrians improve their future through university scholarships
We do this via:
- Various development and humanitarian projects
- Spreading information
- Advocacy
- Collecting donations
