Islamiska Staten (IS) har under en tid försökt att ta sig in i staden Al-Hassake i Syrien, dit många assyriska flyktingar flytt från Khabour senast i februari. Efter hårda strider mellan IS och assyriska, kurdiska samt syriska soldater, skadades idag fem personer från de assyriska styrkorna, enligt rapporter från vår samarbetspartner. En av dessa soldater uppges vara allvarligt skadad.
Vår samarbetspartner har uppgett att striderna fortsätter för fullt i utkanten av staden och att människor förbereder sig för att – ännu en gång – fly.

For some time the Isamic State (IS) has been trying to enter the city of Al-Hassakeh in Syria, to where many refugees from Khabour fled as late as in February of this year.
Following tough fighting between IS and Assyrian, Kurdish and Syrian soldiers, five members of the Assyrian forces were wounded today, according to reports from our partner. One of the soldiers is in a serious condition.
Our partner report that the intensive fighting continues in the outskirts of the city and that the people are preparing to – yet again – flee.
