Assyrians Without Borders gladly presents 4 out of 6 recipients of the scholarship for this semester!
From the left:
Melis Göral, born and raised in Istanbul, is studying Physiotherapy at Istanbul Bilgi University with the ambition to work as a paediatrician in the future. She also acknowledges the importance of being a good example for the children in the Assyrian community as she explains that this is one of her goals, to inspire others to study and succeed!
Simon Saglamoglu is a student at Istanbul Technical University where he is studying “History of Art”. After his studies, his goals are to work in architecture, be a university lecturer and spread knowledge to the world about Assyrians and their stories!
Sacha Dawid is currently studying Computer Communication Engineering in Lebanon, at Notre Dame University Louaize, hoping to one-day work at Ericsson where she also had an internship last summer. In her spare time, she is very much involved in the Assyrian community of Lebanon as for instance, the Assyrian Youth of Lebanon!
Meri Saglamoglu wishes that through her studies in Child Development, at Istanbul Aydin University, specialize in speech therapy for children. She also interned at a rehabilitation centre that worked with children with autism and mental deficiency to better her knowledge on the subject.
Sargon Boyaci and Isa Kocagoz also received the Assyrians Without Borders scholarship, both studying in Istanbul! (Not in picture)
